What do you listen to?
I usually run the entire Ahn Ping area if I’m not too smashed. Otherwise, I run the block. HA! What do you listen to while running/training?

I listen to the garbage that the half-deaf old woman is watching at high volume on the TV in the gym.
When I listen to something through my own earphones (as I can only do when that blasted TV is turned off or turned right down), it’s recordings I made from interesting Chinese radio programs, so I can get multiple benefit from the time by improving my Chinese and keeping up with local current affairs as well as exercising.
And when I’m outside, I just listen to BCC (中國廣播公司) on the radio.
I too listen to Chinese lesson podcasts. I feel very virtuous combining exercise with language learning.
Hmmm not a bad idea. I’ve stopped running now because I’m still just too damned heavy. My hips, of all places, are starting to nag me. I bought an excersise bike which sits in my livingroom that I’ve been using for 10 days or so since. Pretty comfy too…
Running on the streets of my city (Xiamen) holds no appeal for me, so I’m gonna join a new gym nearby - getting in shape will do wonders for my rather tatty self-confidence and the boredom which is causing me mental burn-out.
Not to mention dangerous running on the streets. Can you imagine the damage if a car hit Monster? Dented fenders, broken headlights, windshields.

Allergic.
Don’t mean I don’t eat em, though.
Various, mostly general classic rock with some “theme” type stuff thrown in – Running on Empty, Born to Run, that sort of thing. I’ve tried doing Chinese lessons while running but I can’t seem to pay attention unless I jack the volume up to the point that it blocks out everything else, which I consider both rude and dangerous.
