I tried to consult a local Taiwanese law firm with western educated lawyers for an immigration issue and they couldn’t think out of the box other than gather the requirements for me and ask for the docs before proceeding. In the end I had to call NIA myself and they were more flexible than the law firm. This is a law firm that bills at US partner level rates in USD.
