I’m coming out to Taiwan in a month and want to teach english. I have a degree with the open university and have my certificate to prove it. Do the schools contact your university? I was just wandering because I got my degree from an open-learning course. If they do check up your degree, will I be ok?
I don’t know if there are any policies on the acceptance of “open university” degrees. I have heard that degrees from “distance learning” programs are not accepted… and thus folks interested in pursuing a higher degree while teaching in Taiwan are looking for distance degrees that don’t say “distance” on the diploma. Hopefully, someone else can give you more specific info.
