I hope to start a post about interesting/cool/clever characters.

I’ll start

闖 - chuang - a horse galloping through a gate

I have one request. Could there be a sentence using the word be added. Especially how it’s used in everyday conversation. Thanks

Just my opinion: this is a thread on interesting characters, so I don’t think it’s necessary to show how they’re used (or even how they’re pronounced, for that matter). Especially since many of the most interesting characters are rarely used.

As for guan4, the only times I’ve seen it used is in signs for “washroom”: 盥洗室.

闖 chuǎng - 闖紅燈很危險 (running a red light is dangerous)
肏 cào - 肏你娘 (f*** your mother)

I like 尖 jiān, meaing sharp or pointy. A 小 (small) on top of 大 (big) to make sharp. Example: 把鉛筆削尖 (sharpen the pencil)

The part on top is not a “roof”, it’s a character meaning “to enter” (入), so “to enter + meat” = “to f**k”.

合 he2, to close, to shut. It originally depicted a box 口 with a lid.
After it gained other meanings (through semantic extension – to box, to close; to join, etc.), another semantic, 皿 min3 (vessel, container), was added for the original meaning, creating he2, box: 盒
