Some mail is still making it through. In the last fortnight I received letters from Australia that were mailed in January, February and March. One of them was quite waterlogged, so maybe they went by boat?

Since the onset of this global pandemic, DHL teams have been working around the clock, adapting and adjusting the operations of our global network to align with new developments, regulatory requirements and constant changes in capacity and demand.
ADJUSTMENT OF THE EMERGENCY SITUATION SURCHARGE
As market conditions continue to evolve with the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the Emergency Situation Surcharge will be adjusted downwards effective July 1, 2020 .
This adjustment reflects changes in market dynamics and air capacity availability. Given expected reductions to our additional costs out of China and Hong Kong, we will make a downward adjustment for the following origin/destination combinations:
- China to Europe/Americas/Rest of World: from TWD 60/kg to TWD 30 p/kg
- China/Hong Kong to Australia/New Zealand: from TWD 60/kg to TWD 55 p/kg

Last week I finally started to receive some small parcels sent from Sweden by regular mail that I’d been waiting on for months. I had 3 parcels sent in mid-April (2 arrived, 1 hasn’t), 3 parcels sent in early June (0 have arrived), and 1 parcel sent in mid-June (1 arrived).
So the order seems a bit messed up (these 3 came together on the same day, bound by an elastic band and the envelopes slightly damaged), and still no sign of 4 of the 7 parcels yet. Apparently the Swedish/Danish postal service (PostNord) has also recently temporarily stopped shipping to Taiwan - no idea where the remaining parcels are at the moment.
Am I correct in thinking that the list above applies to both regular Taiwanese mail and EMS? I’m thinking to send something to the UK at some point, which seems to be open for (delayed) deliveries from here.
I sent back a couple of boxes to the UK - 12KG each a week apart. Took 2 weeks for the first one to arrive. Second one should arrive this week. I did not even bother with EMS. Took the 2 week option.
How much did that cost by regular 2-week mail? That delivery time doesn’t seem so bad actually, given the current situation. I’ve only sent small things by EMS before, so don’t know how pricey it gets for larger/heavier parcels.

I ordered something from Alaska and I fully expected it to take over a month, but it got here in 2 weeks.
I ordered from Taobao and it’s supposed to take 2 weeks but it’s stuck in customs and nobody knows how long. I think they lost it.

the UK and also USA are not in the list , so it should be fine to ship by Post Office (regular Mail or EMS)

Mail despatches to Taiwan have resumed. We’ll prioritise the processing and shipment of any remaining mail being held during the recent period of suspension. Delays will still be evident as in-country restrictions remain in place to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, and mail previously despatched by sea is still in transit.

EMS to the US was fast last week, 3 days only to Seattle.
Question: has anyone had any problem with orders from Book Depository?
They say expect delays of 5 to 10 days, which sounds reasonable, but how bad is the delay in reality?
Two months ago order took less than two weeks to arrive. Ordered another last month and it has now been more than three weeks and nothing. So it appears some new delays.
