Pleasantly surprised today to see that a very core government app has an above-acceptable good language support for English:
- The uniform invoice app from Ministry of finance - The entire app (at least in iOS) has been redesigned. Full English support for all the menu items, account, changes, etc. supports Face-id login, icloud backups.
Let’s hope one day we can get the following basic govt./govt. undertakings apps to be well designed in English, which would help everyone on a large-scale for basic day 2 day stuff:
- NHI
- Chunghwa telecom apps - mobile, hinet
- Taiwan library apps
English present but only on a superficial level:
- transit apps - TSHR, Taiwan railways
- Shopee, PCHome
- Secondary banking apps - mobile wallet apps (still all in Chinese)1
