iPhone 4S calls are very low?

When I make and receive calls on my iPhone4S (Chunghwa) are very low, even with the volume put up to max.

Anyone experience?

Stand on a chair … they’ll be higher :roflmao: Sorry!

Ok lets make sure you have adjusted the ‘call’ volume upwards. Just to be certain

When the phone is on the home screen, and you select the side volume buttons up/down, that increases or decreases the ‘ringer’ volume (speaker volume)
When you are on a call, ie. while talking to someone, then toggle the volume up/down buttons, this will increase/decrease the volume of the call (earpiece volume)

If that does not solve your problem, try the below,

Do you have the front plastic protective cover that the phone comes with still on? If yes, remove it.
Still no luck, try the below,
Do a hard reset, think it is hold power button and home button at the same time, phone will reset, and may solve the problem. (I have not done a hard reset before, so i cannot verify what settings are reset. Please do a search to learn more before attempting this)

Ok, that’s much better.
Yes, I do still have the plastic cover on. I’ll snip it to fit just the screen and hopefully that will help. Great tip.

The protective cover that the phone comes with is bad, remove it totally and just get a proper screen protecter.
If i remember correctly, the one that comes with the phone is thick, has no cut outs for the earpiece and the home button, and is not meant for operational use.
Also the back protective cover that is delievered with the phone does not have the cut outs for the camera / flash, removing the original protective cover from the back will improve the camera use.
The proper screen protecters are really cheap, and usually come free with phone covers, and do not affect the operational use of the phone.
