When will they be available in Taiwan?
Available in USA Sept 19 and pre-ordering possible.

The real question is: why does it matter?

Appleās Taiwan page has a date of September 26, but Iām not sure what that means for actually purchasing it here. I canāt currently find anything on the Chunghua Telecom pages about the iPhone 6.
Thereās a little more detail here - although to be honest it doesnāt say much! You can pre-order starting on September 26; actual release date still unknown.
I am curious if the pay-with-a-phone options are going to be of much use here. Itād be nice to get some of the numerous membership cards out of my wallet.
Apple finally just lost its path.
Too big, nothing really new. the usual bits of improvement
And I donāt see a point in an a-watch, which probably
will costs here 10k up
Nevertheless the majority will still buy bothe these new goddies.
Still using my almost 3 year old ā4sā which in my opinion
was (is) their best mobile phone product ever made.
They probably took a patent on a 5.5 inch rectangular with rounded corners ā¦ and trademarked the word āwatchā ā¦

Thatās impressive that pricing and preorder details have already been made available for Taiwan. In past years, you had to wait weeks before you found out any info.
This service has only been announced for the US, starting in October. I donāt expect it in Taiwan until sometime next year (if it takes off overseas). My impression is that Taiwan is more of a cash society than other countries, so demand might not be as high for this service here as it would be in North America.
Thereās an app for that. Keyring.
On a sidenote:
the 5s 32GB for 20.900 is actually not too bad now.
As far as I remember it was 26.500 before the new launch
13.900 for 8GB 5c however is still crap ā¦
Not liking the larger size. How the hell am I going to fit the 6-plus in my pocket? Maybe its time to bring back the fannypack!
Even the smaller one is bigger than the 5 that iām using now.

Oh, I donāt mean for the passwords - I mean for all the little membership cards that get scanned for discounts or point collection or payment: Starbucks, eslite, Carrefour, the little coffee place around the corner, 3C, numerous restaurants, PXMart, and others. (Yeah, I know that a few of them just need my phone number.)
Iām not so sure about the bigger sizes either. At the moment I have no interest in the 6 Plus, although perhaps I could be convinced otherwise; the iPhone 5 I have now seems basically perfect for one-handed use. At least the iPhone 6 doesnāt appear to be that much bigger.

I donāt mean for passwords either. I use keyring to store my membership cards. After inputting the information it will generate the proper barcode for the card. And most scanners can read the barcode on the screen.

I guess you mean the Key Ring Reward Cards app, not KeyRing?
That looks cool. Do you find the scanning usually works well in shops here?
Apple Pay is the biggest announcement from the whole event in my opinion. Hoping it rolls out in Taiwan by next year, but given how antiquated the whole payment infrastructure is here I wonāt hold my breath too long. Uber is awesome just for the simple fact that you donāt have to dig in your pocket for change, or muster up a bu hao yi si when paying for an 85nt ride with a 1000nt note.
Never heard of Easy Card then?
They had/have a watch and a sim/chip card to put in our phone ā¦ now they go for chipped personalized smartcards.
Easy Card is OK if you happen to be in a taxi that accepts it. In my experience, thatās about 1 out of every 12 cabs I get in. Uber is a much better experience, and I get frequent flyer miles on my credit card. Thatās not a perk that Easy Card offers.

You donāt need Apple to pay for Uber ā¦ just a phone app and a CC.

But if you do it from an Apple device itās much trendier.

Yes, that is true. Good point.
I think I will just pick up the HTC one M8. I just like the iphone bc all my music is on itunes so itās easier.
