The real question is who is “Many”? Even if they didn’t ignore it, there isn’t much they can do about it now since it isn’t available until 2008.
When it will be in the market here, then maybe one can make such a claim. This is bad journalism at its best.
No, it’s about the features … Japanese cellphone users can do more with their state of the art recent cellphones than the iphone promises it can …
Like what?
Or … can do just as well … just go to CNN and watch the video
Sure and you can get TV on many Japanese and Korean phones. Trump that Stevey Jobs
Like this is such an important feature when you buy a cell phone. I have yet to meet someone who watched TV on his cell phone.
Having 25 features on your cell phone, but only using 6, I’d rather have a much better looking phone with 10 features only, but using all of them.
Now, I don’t know how the iPhone is going to workout in the US, Europe or Asia and frankly nobody knows at this point, but saying that you can watch TV on asian phones and not on the iphone so it’s a lousy phone, is a bit premature.

Upskirt. The iPhone’s too bulky.

Class MT, pure class!
Was it a report on BBC that said it would be bought mostly by Apple gadget geeks …?
This is a good video showing how advanced the phones are in Japan, compared to the yawn iphone.
Yeh? Well in Australia we’re even more advanced. Our phones no longer even need power.
Well, that’s all very nice and impressive what the Japanese phones can do - but can you actually buy / use such a phone somewhere else? At least the iphone will be available and usable in most parts of the world.
