East coast. Which is getting far more strict than much of the non ultra cities on the west as far as illegal building on land.
I wonder about grandfather laws in taiwan about old houses built pre 66 years on farmland that are by todays standards illegal if were to do new. Unofficially i am told theyre fine but you cant tear down and rebuild, just βcleanβ (renovate). This is presumably referring to cant touch anything structural.
