When you go to the Teach Taiwan website it now says it is transitioning to www.instajobasia.com
Anybody know anything about this?
I’ve heard a lot of good things about Teach Taiwan but wondering if they are being absorbed into some other crappy recruiting agency. Also wondering if they will still recruit for New Taipei City public schools.

Yes, I saw this as well and contacted them. Nothing has changed for them as recruiters for public schools. That is for their non qualifed teaching jobs… Just a new website

You need to send in the application for the link I sent for the FET site.
For teach Taiwan, just email your documents to them ASAP then they will contact you for a Skype interview. They record the interview and make it available for schools to see and from there, schools choose you based on that. The jobs become available early May.
From what I’ve seen is the FB posts are mostly for jobs they haven’t been able able to fill
I’m looking for the New Taipei City program. As far as I know the www.fettaiwan.com does not include new Taipei. Or do all teachers working at public schools need to apply via fettaiwan?
From what I understand, each city or county has a contract with a recruiting agency. You need to find out which company covers New Taipei as I’m not sure. It likely is teach Taiwan. Just send them a message, they’re usually quick to reply

I am trying to apply to Changhua but Teach Taiwan does not hire for that area.
If you would like to apply for a specific school, you can walk in and talk to them. I know someone who did that at a (the?) high school in Kinmen.
Any school can apply for an FET, but most schools won’t go through the effort of putting together the application materials. I have no idea what their process is (for getting the money to hire you), maybe email the contact person on the FET website? Contact MOE directly? The local education bureau?
What I mean by this is that just because no one is specifically recruiting for teaching posts doesn’t mean the jobs aren’t there or unavailable for your creation.

So Teach Taiwan is the recruiter for NTC. Who is the recruiter for Taipei city? Anybody care to share the info?
If you apply to the FET program on http://www.fettaiwan.com/, you can indicate the county (or city) you want to teach in. They’re pretty flexible in the placement if you’re clear about your interest.
OK. Thanks… I didn’t know that. I thought they mostly placed teachers in the countryside.
I just spoke with FET this week. They mentioned that they aim to place FTs in more underprivileged areas whereas teach Taiwan finds teachers for the cities. I’m going to apply for both. The FET deadline is next week Apr/30th and their application is a little intense… Health check, 5 minute video of you teaching, etc.
Also, the FET program told me with proof I can claim my private school teaching experience on the pay grid where teach Taiwan would only accept MOE school experience.
