I’ve never lived anywhere in Taiwan where mold wasn’t an issue. It crops up right around the beginning of summer especially. There is absolutely no way anyone is going to say it is anything other than your responsibility to take care of your things and keep your house clean. Most landlords in Taiwan won’t even pay for it when THEIR things break down, such as hot water heater, AC, etc.
