Even when it’s over the losing side will immediately start impeachment proceedings

Going to have to see proof of this one.

Voting for the world election will end on November 4th (many people have already voted, since a number of states allow early voting by mail).

But I don’t want to get your hopes up, irishstu. :eh:

In fact, the outcome will not actually be known on November 5th. In truth, media attention on the election will increase, go into overdrive, on November 5th, and the final results will not be known until all of the lawsuits and administrative proceedings are concluded. Both sides already have teams of lawyers in place, and I have no doubt that many of the legal complaints and related court documents have already been drafted so that both sides are ready to file them in whichever state that they lose.

The prepared court documents sitting in the Republican team briefcases say “Look at all these fictional votes that were counted/people voting multiple times/persons who had no right to vote who’s votes were illegally allowed! The local Democrat officials cheated us! The voting machines were rigged for Obama! We demand an investigation into this fraud before the results are finalized!”

The prepared court documents sitting in the Democrat team’s briefcases say “Look at all these legitimate voters who weren’t allowed to vote/who’s votes were unfairly thrown out! The local Republican officials cheated us! The voting machines were rigged for McCain! We demand an investigation into this fraud before the results are finalized!”

Both sides almost certainly have these these legal filings ready to go already. There are at least a dozen states in which they are likely to be submitted. There is far too much at stake, for both sides, not to at least give the legal challenge a shot if their guy loses.

Bottom Line:

The world election will probably be over by mid December.

Then again (and this is the good news for you, irishstu) the above scenario is only the case if McCain manages to pull a rabbit out of the hat and somehow makes this election even remotely close. If Obama’s landslide is decisive enough --which is looking increasingly likely-- it is possible that you could see the world election concluded by sometime in November. So good news there from your perspective I suppose.

No, BFM. NO. Stop that now.

Guys, that play on words is not funny.

What is humour? Buttercup muses. The unexpected slapstick? The sophisticated play on words? The k*** joke?

God, I miss TomHill…

I heard a rumour that this thing is over now, but then somebody told me that some fat lady has to sing first or something. What’s THAT all about?

Eh? I know my shower version of ‘Show Me Heaven’ is pretty great, but I didn’t know it affected 'Merikun politick?

My name is Dr. McCoy and I’m running for world president. I think taxes are too high, and you can tell those bureaucrats down there in that capitol that I said so. Their days of sucking of the world taxpayer’s teat are about to end! Duty now for the future!

It’s true, the next president of the United states cannot take office until sing. I don’t feel like singing right now. Think I’ll wait a couple more weeks.

Nope, still not over.
