Is there anti-allergy immunotherapy medicine approved in Taiwan?

I have been taking this anti-allergy immunotherapy. There are types of pills you put under your tongue (and let it melt) which you take once everyday for years to make your body not consider it as an attacker. This pill is made from dust mites.

Today I went to a quite big hospital (not clinic, but not the biggest either) but they say they don’t have it.

Is there any such immunotherapy medicine approved in Taiwan? Where should I get it?

Thanks. Where should I go to get that medicine?

And how much does it cost for taking it for 3 months?

at taipei city hospital, it is 210 ntd per tablet, so about 6000 per month.

the price can be different at different hospitals, but maybe not so much.

biggest hospitals or some ent clinics may have it.

Hi tando, which branch of Taipei City Hospital did you go to? I just went to the RenAi branch and asked an allergist about it, and he had no idea what I was talking about. And if you don’t mind sharing, what was the name of the doctor that you saw? Thanks!

Wish @tando would come back and give a reply, and then jump into the Picture Quiz Game for old times sake.

Try the pay doctors, as mentioned, they tend to be more on the ball than the nhi card swipers.

I have no idea allergy related fields, but if I was I this jam and no idea where to start, I’d go to the travel pay doctors and ask them to transfer you over to a allergy specialist that is out of pocket.
