Is this really root beer?

Speaking of ginger ale, there was a Hey-Soong ginger ale-like drink a while back, simply labelled ‘qishui’ (it was sweeter than Canada Dry), as opposed to their ‘ice cream soda’ (cream soda). Haven’t had it for a while- is it still around?

As someone who drank a lot of Root Beer growing up in the states (A&W and Barqs), I can definitely see the similarities with Sarsaparilla, but they do have a slightly different taste (but then so do A&W and Barqs).

I’m having trouble pinpointing exactly what the difference is, though, maybe Sars is a little less sugary?

Thanks, although to be honest I don’t like root beer (or most things haha) enough to justify paying the Jason’s premium.

I’ve also thought about buying a case when I’ve seen it in Costco…but it would take me over the ~30-35 kg of stuff I can easily carry back home.
