# ISO school for 10 y.o near Banqiao, or Taichung or Tainan

My family lived in Taipei for most of 2025 and my son was in two separate experimental schools and had overall less than positive experiences. He is bi-lingual in English and another language and was learning Mandarin while he was there, but he encountered quite a bit of low/medium level bullying from teachers and kids. We are thinking about giving Taiwan one more shot, and some of his favorite non-schooling activities take place near Banqiao, so we would like to be located near there this time around.

We also have friends in Tainan, but the school they recommended… I watched the videos and everything looks ok until I saw the kids washing the teachers’ feet 🤯 , and I don’t want my kid washing anybody’s feet.

We’re not interested in public schools (I went through it myself and I don’t have fond memories).

We’re open to Taichung because that’s where my Father was originally from and where I spent a lot of CNY holidays when I was a child, but I know nothing about the schools there.

So yea… Anyone have any ideas?
