Italian for the small kitchen

Ripping off Enigma  and keeping with the theme, I thought I would submit my new found ravioli recipe.

Ravioli

454g of Ground Turkey*
6 oz of finely grounded garlic croutons
1 teasp of chili powder
1 teasp of dried thyme
1/2 onion chopped finely
1/2 carrot chopped finely
3 cloves of garlic chopped finely
1/2 red bell pepper chopped finely
1 1/2 teasp of kosher salt
a palm full of cilantro chopped finely
Dumpling wrappers

Mix all the above ingredients (minus wrappers) well like you would if you were making meatloaf. Then add the following

1 tablesp of balsamic vinger
3 tablesp of Parmesan cheese
1/2 teasp of dry oregano

Mix that all up again.Have an egg beaten with water on the side.

Take two dumpling wrappers(you can find them in the veggie/fruit markets at noodle stands) brush one wrapper edge with the egg wash and seal with a fork or pinch with fingers.

Bring a 20 oz pot of salted water to a boil, put the ravioli in and wait until they rise or have slightly translucent look to them. Toss with your favorite sauce.

*I don’t know how cilantro would taste with ground beef. So if anyone tries this with beef, let me know how it tastes. With the turkey, it really gave it a kick.

Cilantro goes very well with beef, pork or chicken – seafood too! Just Google “cilantro beef” and try some recipes, and I’m sure you’ll agree.

I feel sooooo violated. (but in a really nice way)
