Hob knobbing with other action star-cum-has beens like Arny and Sly probably introduced him to the love of a fine cigar.
Ric once smoked 14 in 5 hours at a wedding in 2003. Sounded like Tom Waits for a month. “The Piano has been drinking, not me…” 
I’ve got no qualms with people who smoke, but I do have qualms with people who people who do the chikcen and duck talk… (i. e. Chan)
