Jeffrey Epstein, sex trafficking, and the rabbit hole gets bigger

Oh no! Anyway… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

80% domestic is standard for the majority of developed countries.

It’s the current Republican strategy these midterms: McCarthyism 2.0, Dumb & Dumberer.

He either has no idea what he’s talking about, or he knows perfectly well but also knows that his base doesn’t.

It’s going to be an interesting couple of years.

#2 has been the secret sauce of Republican success since Sinatra wore fedoras.

I didn’t know that was apocryphal, ha

After these last 2 years a brick to the head would be interesting, so I’m kind of optimistic

How are you looking at that. Trade to GDP ratio?

Just so you know, my comment also took the US internal market and its natural resources into consideration.

Could be the GOP sees the lefts internal smoke going up and wants to fan the flames. :fire:

The left Just had a big split in an vote over not funding Israel. :israel:

80% of most developed economies comes from the domestic market. 20% comes from imports/exports.

EDIT: I clearly don’t understand your original comment.

In. A nutshell : the US has a nearly unique geographical and resource moat that other developed nations do not have— so a little chaos half way around the world, say in Iran, doesn’t hurt us as much, and in some ways is beneficial for us— think arms sales. We have our own energy, food, natural resources; furthermore our defensive capabilities and the whole two ocean thing works in our favor.

We used to have that too, barring perhaps the natural resources. Domestic, at least.

Should gone for Greenland when you had the chance. Or some place no one would want back— or for their own.

There is still Canada, not part of the UK but we do share a king. The US buys lots of food, energy, and resources from Canada. More of that will be going to alternative markets in the coming years…

Case in point.
