There was a news item on TV last week introducing the new flights to be offered by Jetsar. So far we haven’t been able to actually book the flight to Christchurch online, but some others seem to be available. Has anyone else managed to find out details of the promotion?
did a search for you, didn’t find any cheap star light fare for the Singapore–Sydney sector, so couldn’t figure out how the 15000NTD came to be.Maybe it’s for a specific period of travel? Anyhow, the connection to Christchurch looks a little like a round the world thing, draining is the word that came to mind ; TPE-SG-Darwin-Sydney-Christchurch!
edit: Looked up on 101vision.com/ and found the lowest rate to Christchurch on NZ airlines, the airport tax is low too.One alternative would be to stop over at Sydney, in this case the lowest fare would be from MAS, but downside is you’d have one extra stop over in KUL.And one has to factor in the airport taxes as well, the problem with Jetstar, i find, is that after the taxes are included, fare is only a wee bit cheaper.
asianmom,
Thanks for going to the trouble to look for me! That site you linked to looks quite useful for finding deals.
My brother and his wife flew for about that much from Perth-Taipei return in June/July last year. I think they just booked an online special from the Jetstar website: www.jetstar.com - some days and flights were cheaper than others and there are a limited number of super-cheap tickets for each flight. THeir website might give more details of the promotion or you could try emailing them
