Book one of the English translation of Jin Yong’s Legends of the Condor Heroes was released this week. It’s called A Hero Born, and it’s translated by a former expat in Taiwan (Anna Holmwood). Eslite has copies, but I don’t know who else is stocking it around the island.
A Hero Born (The Condor Heroes) is the series that solidified Jin Yong’s status as the most influential classics in the martial art fantasy genre.
Jin Yong’s is at his best when he writes historical fiction and in A Hero Born you get to follow the raise of Genghis Khan from an every interesting perspective.
