Just got a 90 day visitor visa

I just recently got my visa back from the TECO Kansas City office and saw that it was a multiple entry visitor visa. First off, I only asked for a single entry and then secondly it has my duration of stay for 90 days. The issue date is June 26th and so do the 90 days start now or when I arrive? Why would they give me an extra 30 days? I guess I shouldn’t complain, but I thought it was strange.

cool, i’ve never heard of a 90 visitor’s visa. Regardless, the countdown starts once you get stamped into Taiwan.

Yes, I’ve had them in the past when I showed that I’d regularly been in the country for 65 days and 72 days etc and was wasting everybodies time going to the police station just to extend for a few days.

This was after asking for 90 days for 3 years and being knocked back even though I showed each year that I’d often just tip over the 60 days but didn’t ever need more than 90 days because I have to reluctanty jump on planes all the time.

The logic of the whole process is missing something.
