Taipei prosecutor Huang Li-wei (黃立維), who is in charge of the probe into the alleged blackmail, said he would swiftly summon for questioning gangster-turned-businessman Lu Chao-chin (盧照琴), who used to top the list of Taiwan’s most-wanted criminals and was twice sentenced to death for murder. Peng allegedly gave Lu more than NT$10 million (US$300,000) to prevent Lu from going public with the VCD and creating a scandal.

How is it possible that this guy is still walking the street? :s

… and how can you just turn ‘businessman’ and be left alone?

Because the Buddhist funeral home is right down the street from me, my neighborhood suddenly became a part of the staging area - thousands of gangsters dressed in severe black clothing spilled out of tour buses and queued up in Rong Xing Park, which is located right around the corner from my apartment. The younger ones sported t-shirts emblazoned with siguls of their particular Triad affiliation. Older ones wore expensive suits with elegant gold pins affixed to their lapels.

Seems on that day a famous … um … business man died in Taiwan.

Yeah, at least they keep the streets safe. Nobody ever robbed my chocolate bar when I went home from 7/11.
