This place has location, location, location. it’s an older building but they keep it clean and frequently there are local expats that come down and hang out on the small patio (usually at night after teaching). they are a great source of info on the local area.
Wow! A studio apt is cheaper than a hotel room, and the location can’t be beat. A definite consideration when (if) we’re ever in Kaohsiung again. Does anyone have any idea if there’s a hotplate or kettle in the studio; our fabulous instant coffee is of paramount importance!
This might be coming too late for your fancy, but the studio is a fully furnished (cable tv, stove, fridge, wi-fi…)two bedroom apartment with a balcony for smokers. I rented one bedroom with a friend, it contained 2 single beds. The room was 800NT. Great location, right in front of the river.
I just recently stayed in the main hostel and I was pretty happy with it. It was a little run down, but it wasn’t bad. And it was clean. It was within sight of the river, and you could walk to just about anything within 30 minutes or so. The nearest MRT was 30 minutes away.
