I taking the daughter (pre teen)to kaohsiung for a daddy/daughter day during the new year and wanted to take her to some toy shops that are more science based. I remember passing by one a couple years back that was just outside the Pier 2 area but am having a hard time tracking it down. I looked through the windows and it appeared to be more educational related toys. Looking for something that has say crystal growing, carving bones out of clay, circuit board kits, physics gadgets and puzzles and along those lines (not so much dolls, cars and lego). Something like what a science world type gift shop would sell.
Does anyone know the place by chance? Or something similar elsewhere in kaohsiung?
Oh man, I went into that same shop a few years ago and bought a wooden puzzle box. Such a cool place; I myself have been trying to remember where it was. Hopefully someone knows (if it’s still even in business).
It looked pretty cool right? I’m racking my brain trying to remember where it was. It was a decent sized street. I was walking, so must have been between an mrt station and pier 2. This was before the light rail. It’s bugging me how foggy this location is in my head haha. If you remember, please share! Even if out of business, the name would be awesome and can maybe get some Google results for similar shops
Cheers! Looking for that kind of thing, but an entire store entorely directed towards scientific education for kids (rather than a few products in a larger bookstore).
The crystal growing is fun for any parents. Way cheaper to use salt, sugar, allum or go copper and metal based and teach them about electricity and plating. Super fun experiments! but I’m trying to find entire stores with wide variety of such things and can spend an hour or 2 getting her to look around, get stimulated, think a bunch and settle on something totally new to us
