Does any kind person have any hotel recommendations, prices etc.
Any advice? Any decent watering holes down there?

If you find Kending itself full up, consider Nanwan - a couple of kilometers before Kending. Hire a bike and try the Nanwan Hotel, on the hill immediately after the little town itself - lovely recently done up rooms for half the price of somewhere like Ceaser Park, though the breakfast isn’t quite as sumptuous, but you do get a picturesque view of the nuclear power plant.
We usually stay at the “Duck”, right next to the KFC. Nice rooms and a pool.

I liked the Chateau on the right on the way into town. Two or three grand a night AFAIR, but I haven’t been for a few years now.
