See how MFGR works. First it is that we are bogged down in Iraq and cannot free up forces for East Asia. When we prove that is incorrect and that submarines and an aircraft carrier are in fact moving there, he questions why we are supporting Taiwanese independence. When that is clarified as being irrelevant to his earlier point, he asks whether one aircraft carrier is enough to defeat China even though there is no war, then it is that our troops are sitting ducks in Korea. Why is it that the ground is always shifting whenever MFGR is proved wrong and when has he ever supplied facts to buttress his views. Finally, the Pentagon DOES believe that the troops are sitting ducks and that is why they are being moved. Why does the Pentagon feel that way? I don’t know what do you think?

Finally, what does any of this have to do with your original assertion that the US was bogged down in Iraq and therefore Bush’s decision to invade was wrong? We have proved that Bush was actually able to free up three nuclear subs and an aircraft carrier that were stuck in the Persian Gulf before. So again, you are wrong wrong wrong but I am sure now that you will come back with something like prove the pentagon feels that way. Can you? Can you? I want facts not just Republican talking points! No, I said that the U.S. government has been clear to state that it would not provide cover for a unilateral declaration of independence by Taiwan. Didn’t you read any of the articles about Bush’s talk with Wen Jiabao and explicit warning to Taiwan? Oh, right… expecting you to read news is a bit much.

You made such a big deal about one aicraft carrier group and a couple of subs… either we have lots of available military resources for a full-on Pacific war or we don’t. Looks like we don’t. You were the one who raised Korea and the “sitting ducks” concept – considering that our troops in Iraq are “sitting ducks”, I hope you don’t mind my asking you more about your ideas…
