Got this alert a few minutes ago (6:06 pm). Anyone hear any news about landslides today in Xizhi?

Just got this. I’m in Xizhi

I’ve been getting those alerts every few hours since last night. A bit unnerving. If you go to the weird-yet-aptly named “Debris Flow Disaster Prevention Information” website, and figure out how to navigate their map, you can get much more specific info, if you’d like to rule out the possibilty that you’re in a danger zone, say.

https://246.swcb.gov.tw/Map/Index/0

They identify specific locations that have had landslides, flooding, washed out or blocked roads, etc., and locations where there’s a moderate or high likelihood of that happening. If you can figure out how to navigate the map to show you the specific areas and hazards you want to know about, it’s slightly more reassuring than the phone alerts they’re sending out, because the identified danger zones are quite specific and narrrow, and many of “red alert” spots are in relatively sparsely populated areas.

I’m still figuring out how to navigate it while relying on Chrome to translate everything, so it’s messy, but gives you an idea of the granularity of info there.
