I’m wondering if any guys, or lucky girls, know where to find large condoms in Taichung? I have looked everywhere, but still no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
You can get western-sized (歐美型) condoms at any Condom World (保險套世界) store. According to their website, they have branches at the Yi-Zhong Jie nightmarket and Fengjia nightmarket.

How is this a childish question? I can’t find any condoms here that fit me, and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction (which a few of you did and I appreciate your help). As for this member, I guess he just doesn’t have the same problem…

Would one call a woman childish if she asked where to find larger sizes of bras? Men need condoms that fit (small or large), just as women need bras that fit (small or large). Get over it, people – it’s a perfectly legitimate question. If a condom is too large it slips off. If it’s too small you can’t get it on. Not wearing one isn’t a good thing, is it? :loco: And coming from a new poster it is essentially an anonymous question; asking anonymously is hardly attention whoring. Now if Frost came along waving his third leg in one hand and a local condom in the other, yelling “how do I bag this thang?!”, that’s another matter. 
BTW, if an established poster needed to ask sth like this and wanted to post it anonymously, they could PM Maoman and ask for permission to register an additional user name for this purpose; for health and other embarrassing issues, I believe he’ll grant the request. Posting it anonymously would be the more mature option, methinks.
I’ve said it before. IrishStu gave me the perfect solution for us larger men. Simply get two black trash bags, cut the end off one and tape them together. Carefully – you don’t want any leaks! I realize of course that this will only cover the helmet, but face it – anything’s better than nothing.

What exactly do you have a problem with-- the OP’s choice of the word “large?” Is that putting things too bluntly for your sensitivities? I don’t detect any bragging in the OP’s post, certainly not making “an entrance” as someone with a big unit as you suggest. Local condoms are snug to say the least, as many westerners who’ve tried them can attest to. He wants a larger size than commonly available at the local 7-11. I suppose he could have said he needs a"western" size, but that would simply be a euphemism and would amount to saying the same thing, just in a more round-about way. I like “where to find large” myself, as it implies that any guy (local or foreign alike) who finds the normal selection to be uncomfortable would be in need of them.
Finding “large” or western-sized condoms is a common problem facing many a western male living here. It’s not attention whoring to ask other westerners where to find such items.
Sensitivities? Moi? Oh no :no-no: I would even discuss the latest porn stars and sex toys found in shops here , if permitted

While we’re on the subject, does anyone know where you can find a sturdy money clip? I find the local money clips here to be far too flimsy for the amount of cash I take around with me and I find having my personal assistant carrying around a suitcase with my cash to be far too gauche.
Wow, I really didn’t think this question was out of line. I HAVE been registered since Nov. 06, but only recently have I needed help/advice. Plus, I search through the posts and usually come across the answer(even for this question…unfortunately no luck). As far as needing the condoms now, I have been in a committed, long-term realationship since arriving in Taiwan, thus eliminating the need for them (WOO HOO!). Thank you again to all who have given their advice.

I bet it is, too. I bet at least 95% of what is discussed today has been discussed before in other threads. Should everyone be required to search every thread since the site began before asking a simple question?
No doubt it could have been posted there, but it’s not wrong to ask where to find a sexual health related item in a health forum. Many topics could rightfully have been started in one or more other forums than the ones they were placed in. It doesn’t mean the threads are in the wrong place. Some topics would fit in more than one forum. Even if it were misplaced, does that prove the OP of this thread to be an attention whore?
I’ve been on this island since 2002. Because I was in a long term relationship for much of my time here, I didn’t try out local condoms until this year. My user name was registered on this site well before 2006, so it would mean I’m attention whoring if I asked where to find western condoms in my area?

- Yes, in terms of larger condoms, but not specifically for central to southern Taiwan; people in locations outside Taipei often have to ask about their areas specifically.
- Even for the topic in general, the search function has been a bit limp lately, so one should cut posters a little slack.
As WCIF mod, I struggle with this issue on a daily basis. A while ago, the decision was made to move WCIF searches for topics which already have their own fora (Food, Bars, etc.) to those areas, leaving WCIF as a catch-all for the remaining items. I think it’s fine for a poster to choose in this case between Health and WCIF. The respective mods will probably end up merging them; if it’s a hard call, we might leave a cross-link between the two… No need for you to lose any sleep over where such a thread is put.
