Larger laowai problems: condoms and clothing

So I’m a 6 foot 2, 100kg white guy. I also have a size 13 shoe size. Generally back home in Australia I don’t have too many problems finding clothing and shoes but here it has been a real struggle. I wouldn’t be considered a ‘fat guy’, nor do I need to shop at one of those stores dedicated for plus size people. I’m tall and well built. I can generally get shoes, pants and shirts no problem back home. Here that is not that case

I was wanting to get some new clothes - some are quite urgently needed. I need to get both dress shoes for the office and some converse chucks. However, no where seems to sell shoes in my size. People told me to go to Cosco but no shoes or even socks fit me. I manage to find one pair of jeans in size 38.

Where the hell do tall and well built people shop here? Am I doomed to wearing sports clothing (about the only stuff I can find that fits) or business shirts whilst walking around barefoot for the rest of my days in Taiwan? I have tried plenty of western/American outlet and regular stores here yet they are only in Taiwanese sizes.

Will stores order clothing specfically for you in your size? Or do I just need to order everything online?

Now another thing, asian condoms don’t fit me. They are painful to wear. Again, I have had a look around Watsons and other places and they all seem to be one size. I also tend to wear the larger ones back home as the regular ones in Australia can be a little tight too. Where do you guys buy your condoms from?

Kaohsiung specific stores would be an added bonus.

I buy my condoms at Taipei zoo vet shop.

It’s the only place I can find elephant size.

Condoms and clothes are basically the same thing, aren’t they?

Socks for yer cock.

The sex shops sell large condoms. Simply tell the bored girl at the desk you have an enormous knob and she’ll sort you out.

Clothes: I buy them in England.

awesome. thanks:slight_smile:

Maybe @Andrew0409 can chime in.

He’s about your stature, but in Taipei. Maybe has some tips?

Yeah, so buying clothes suck here. One place I found some casual clothes that fit is a store called H connect, it’s a Korean brand so they seem to fit larger compared to anything i’ve found in Taiwan. Or I get everything tailored when I was to dress up, otherwise i’m in clothes I bought from my trips to Korean or the US once a year. I’m 6’3, I was 101kg but I dropped down to 91kg now. My problem is my shoulders are really broad and I’m muscular with a long torso so everything is to short and barely covers my belly and I cant move my arms even in XLs here. It sucks because in the US my size is also hard to find because buying a large is like for fat people. It’s not fitted to my body.

Shoes I’m not sure, I wear 11-11.5 and they seem to have it in stock. I actually ran into this from in China, they didn;'t carry anything over size 10 in mens shoes. I believe you can get stores to order it for you.

Condoms, I have no idea, it’s tight for me too but not painfully tight. I have a steady girl so I don;t wear one haha.

I see 4 locations in Kaohsiung.

When i reached size 38 pants I had to buy clothes in hong kong.

You will have to do the same with your large feet.

I am not sure XL is even available in Taiwan. And Taiwan XL may be only L in the Western World. Forget bout it if you are XXL like me.

I bought a Polo shirt in Indonesia marked XL and turns out it was just a M in USA size. I put it on and dang near had to Cut if off with scissors, Couldn’t get the dang thing OFF.
