Let's see your baby!

Since the rain is putting a damper on my plans to ride, I thought it would be fun to start a thread where we can all share pictures of our bikes/scooters/cars/whatever gets you around. So here goes, I’ll be the first to show-off my baby.

(I’ll put up pics of my second green baby when it stops raining and I can get a nice snapshot of it.)

Since you link doesn’t work, and everyone else would be too imtimidated to post photos after your link, I’ll be the first to post up in the sub-150cc class…

Get your link working…We want to see that bad boy. :sunglasses:

His link works for me. Unfortunately. About 500cc more than I’d like to handle and about at least one too many zeroes in the price.
Very nice.
I’d post a pic of mine if I had one and I wasn’t embarrassed by the state its in. It’s all MJB’s fault – passes himself off as an expert in things motorized, yet was totally unable to give mine a good wash and polish last time I saw him. :raspberry:

My 1988 RZR’s not much to look at, but…well, it’s just not much to look at.

Pretty sure my link works. Come on Sandman and Poagao, let’s see them. I’ve had some ugly ones, but they were the funnest to ride. Hmmm…or am I thinking of the girls I met at clubs while drunk. Anyway, post some pictures guys.

Too much chrome for me… :upyours: Besides, what the hell were you doing riding in the rain anyway? God, the cheap Taiwan goulashes, raingear, dripping wet, smelly socks? Good god man, you’ve got a car!

Damn dude, some nice machinery there (slowly picks up tongue from floor) :notworthy: :notworthy:

If we ever go riding together, can you put a tow rope on the back so I can keep up? :help:

Come on MJB, your RZR looks pretty zippy. I’m sure it only needs a nudge. But you’re always welcomed to be dragged by my bike anytime.

Sadly, I didn’t get any pix of my 750 before the bastards stole it. So, here’s a pic of my other bike instead…
(luckily I still have this one)

I have been riding this beauty all around Taiwan for a couple about 4 years now. :sunglasses:
And I’m proud of her

For those of you who have a 250 or higher, did you get your license here or you already had one home?
I’m interested in getting a 250 license and I wanted to know if it was hard?

You don’t need a special license for a 250. Only for 251 and up. So feel free to go get that 250 you’ve been eyeing right now! I got my “big bike” license here…I wrote about it in another thread farther down called “big bike license”…imaginative, eh?

Since 'scooters seem to be the most common here, I don’t feel too embarrased having one.
Here’s what I’ve had since late August. I just recently tirned 1000km. Obviously I don’t ride very much, but its surprisingly fun.
My scooter

TainanCowboy, thats a very nice scooter. I was going to get the Jockey SR, but decide on the Yamaha Cygnus because of the 12 inch wheels. But owned an older Jockey, the G2 when I first came to Taiwan. Most reliable and fun scooter I have ever been on.

I used to think scooters were for girls. I now think they’re great. I actually prefer the steering geometry of a scooter. If my Dio’s suspension wasn’t shot and if it had a load more power and disc brakes, it would be a great bike and I’d hardly touch the FZ. As it is, it’s still more fun in town.

From a cost point of view the Dio is definitely on top. I swapped my older bike for it so it cost me around 10,000. Since then I have spent money on petrol, oil and one new carburettor (1200NT IIRC). I ride it nearly every day. (It’s 11 years old by the way).

I don’t ride the FZ so often but have spent more than 50,000 on it and continue to spend bits and bobs as the engine heat fries electric control boxes and the vibration seems to kill bulbs.

If I had enough money to spend on a new scooter I’d like an Ego 250. Same seating position as a regular scooter, just more power. Not so keen on feet-forward bikes such as the Majesty. But for the moment the Dio just keeps on soldiering on.

Alright…here are pics of some of my Taiwan bikes I’ve owned…or presently own. The last two are the only ones I ride/drive recently…damn weather.

Actually, I still own 5 of the above…

pay special attention to the 50cc movie…it’s got a custom seat…actually it’s two seats…covered together…and it’s the most comfortable bike I own…for me and for passengers.

I joined a scooter riding club with my Cygnus. I have the Chinese symbol for “wind” on my bike as well as the rest of them.

We even have our own T-shirts…with the club’s English name on it…are you ready for this?..The 12 inch Motor Club…   . I love it.

I like your Honda CBR Mordeth, she 's pretty cool.
That’s what I’d like to get.
I will check the thread you mentioned.
Because the summer is mine. :sunglasses:

What’s a Honda CBR600 going for these days in Taipei?

New they go for $450,000NT. Second hand about $320,000 - $380,000NT.

Yeah…keep rubbing it in…f***er. (I over paid…a little.)
