going away for 3 weeks over CNY and am aware that that is the time most burglaries occur. want to play it safe by putting a few lights on those light timer things. where can one find them in taiwan? i can’t ever remember seeing them in B&Q, but then again have never set out and looked for them specifically.

I’ve seen them at B&Q and RT-Mart…they are kind of pricey though…
You can buy timers at local hardware stores (wujinhang) for a couple hundred $NT, I have a couple that I use for my aquariums. They just plug into your wall and then you plug a lamp into the timer. One of mine loses a few minutes a day, so it might be off by a few hours by the time you get back.
The digital ones with battery backup are better at keeping time…the ones that wind/rotate lose time…
