Excellent beer brewed from monks and a grat place to go to, hughe beer garden and typical food served with beer. If you ever visit Salzburg, go for it.

And that’s how you drink it there. Even that’s the kid’s sized 1 liter ones.
They cool the stone jug before they fill in the beer so it keeps the temprature it should have even on a hot day for a while.

I missed that one last month when I was in Salzburg. I didn’t miss the Andechs Kloster though. Best Doppelbock I ever tasted. Made this
feel like tropical weather.
The weissbier served in this slaughterhouse in Munich was also very very very fine indeed.

By the way, Bobwundaye now offers Konig Ludwig weissbier, a very nice Bavarian weissbier indeed.

What part?

Regarding beers and Australia. I was introduced to Boag on the last trip back.

I’d go along with that blurb. It’s a reasonable drop.

Seems you had some Wei

It is, or usuaully is, available at the Breeze Center Supermarket.

I could be a spoilsport and direct this thread to the 90-plus pages of the [url=http://tw.forumosa.com/t/beer-alert-directory-iii/8666/1 Alert & Directory[/url] thread over in the food forum, but I won’t – not just yet.

Between number 16. and 17. is the link to the Augustiner Bier, so should be one number higher.

And to make the list a bit longer even there are some of them which are not really that good but I tasted them all:

Stiegl Bier, Also from Salzburg so something like the stuff with which I gorw up (and Ironman can tell you that it worked for the matter of seize)
www.stiegl.at

Kaiser Bier, Brewed in a small town just a bit south of Salzburg.

Trummer Bier
Small privat brewery close to my home town.

Schnaitl Wei

:grandpa: This has to be one of the facts of life: whenever one finds something that one enjoys, out pops a spoilsport who does these kinda things for the “fun” of it.

Just why would you do such a daft thing, bru? :saywhat:

I tried one of these when I was back in the interior during CNY 2006. Not bad. With a name like thirsty beaver, how could I not enjoy the taste. :smiling_imp:

Amber Ale is medium-bodied, malty and clean to the finish, the original Tree Beer. Slightly darker in colour than a pale ale, Thirsty Beaver Amber Ale is smooth and bursting with flavour.
