Hi, I am a Single Mom who will be coming to Taiwan with my 14year old daughter. Are there private English schools and if so are they very expensive. As an English speaker who knows no Mandarin she probably won’t fit into a public school? I am South African - are there any other SA parents there and how do you cope with school?

Bilingual or CSL Schools

Hi, I’m looking for bilingual or CSL schools in Taipei. So far I’ve heard of Lih-Jen (bilingual) and Xinsheng (CSL). Are there any others? Also, does someone have a contact at Xinsheng? I can’t read their website very well so had a hard time finding contact information. Thanks in advance!

Bilingual schools in Taichung

Taichung seems to have small international community unlike Taipei or Hsinchu. Looking for bilingual schools near central science park. Already visited Wagor. Any other possibilities? Wagor looks “safe” but don’t know the student work load.
