Has anyone ever taken out a loan to buy a house here?
I’m really new to the matter, so if so, can you give ideas how it works?
Do a search in the housing thread. There have been many threads about mortgages and the possibility of foreigners obtaining one. 
I’ve applied for a loan to purchase a home, during the process the financial representative asked me what happen to the money I acquired when I divorced and sold a home over 5 years ago. My credit is excellent. Do they have a right to know this? Does it matter?
