Longtan: Please help out! Worthy Cause, Lots of Fun

Sergio, a young Mexican athlete here in Taiwan had a very unfortunate accident while working here which has left him paralyzed from the neck down. Please come out to Longtan to attend a fundraiser for Sergio so we can raise a few bucks and offer some assistance to cover some of the ongoing costs he and his family have incurred.

Saturday, November 11th
3-7pm at the lake in Longtan (Temple Park)

The party really kicks in the same evening at a great pub in Longtan:

Azul Restaurant & Bar Supersports, Sports Plus, ESPN STAR
375 Chung Feng Road, Long Tan
桃園縣龍潭鄉中豐路375號
03 480-1001

Music, prizes, fun, booze, and an opportunity to help out a great guy - a truly gifted athlete who had had his career taken away forever by a cruel twist of fate.

Details to follow.

Sorry for dumb question…
Is Longtan in Taipei?

It’s in Taoyuan County. You can go there directly by Freeway bus from Taibei City or Banqiao.

Some more details would go a long way, re.

'tis already Wednesday, so please post them soon. :unamused:

I have some details as the OP has yet to update this thread.

Apparently, the young man in question was employed as a high-diver at one of the large theme parks who broke his neck in a diving accident.

The OP is also responsible for providing some of the entertainment at Marks fund-raising bash at the River, so lets see what we can do to help.

Azul’s is also a very cozy place to hang out.:sunglasses:

Whoever didn’t go missed out on a very, very good time.

They had great music, magicians, dancers all by the lake in Longtan The large temple in the background made for an amazing backdrop.

The party then moved to Azuls, with all the performers kicking up once more…It’s still going strong as I write this.

I’m pretty sure some good funds have been raised tonight…Hats off to the organizers.

It was a blast

If OP is the bloke with the snazzy Sony camera (Sean?.. who is also doubles as a great magician. He made a few of my pals’ ciggy’s disappear!), then a “Well done, Mate!” is in order! We left Azuls at 4am in pretty good spirits! Sean put his camera to good work and recorded messages of support for Sergio.

Yep, I agree! :bravo:

Ooop, methinks OP could even be one long-haired bloke with the prefix-“Peace”!
If so, well done to you both!
