Looking for fiberglass

I went to B and Q, but no luck.

I needfiberglass 705 SFK and 703.

But then again I’d be happy to look at any heavy, dense fiberglass even if it didn’t have those make numbers (705 and 703).

Any places in Taipei you can recomend. An actual address would be best.

I want to build some bass/mid frequency traps for my composing/mixing room.

So, It was recommended to get 705 and 703 for controlling such frequencies. But at this point I’d be happy to see any fiberglass here.

Insulating fiberglass would be fine. Where did you see it?

Suggestions from someone who is good at finding things in Taiwan.

  1. Ask Jeremy at Bikefarm

  2. Learn how to use a Taiwanese telephone book(yellow pages) and impress everyone(no really, even Taiwanese have trouble finding things with the telephone book)

  3. Find the fiberglass street. Most things are sold in the same area/street, sort of a network effect thing. I’m not sure if fiberglass, you want, would fall under home improvement or not

  4. Check with the manufacturer and see if they make or have agents in Taiwan.

  5. Ask Cetra, tetra wahtever the F#@$ it’s called.

I’ll check with my sources and see what I can pull up.

Doubt there is a “fiberglas street” though you could look for a street where you can find many shops that deal with related hardware (building materials or whatever category this falls into).

I got some Plexiglass stuff made from a local company, maybe they also do have fiberglass. Give them a call at 02 2722 9223 (must speak Chinese though), perhaps they can help or refer you further.

Fiber glass = boli xianwei

I’ve actually looked it up in my Taipei County indutrial/commercial telephone book and there are quite a few shops. They are mostly in the industrial part of Taipei county(Sanzhong, Xinzhuang, taishan, etc.). If you are interested PM me and We can hook up and figure out how to go about checking them out. I still need to check out a Taipei City indutrial/commercial telephone book. That would probably have the fiberglass street if there was one.

I just got a link that Kwang Hwa Bridge, (Chong Shao Sheen Sheng MRT stop) has a afra mount of harware shops and possibly might be a place with fiberglass.

I talked with a sound engineer who actually had 705 fiberglass in his studio that he bouight in Taiwan. He confidently said that one can find 703,704, and 705 fiberglass here and at a much cheape price that North America.

So, that’s my next stop is near the bridge where there are supoosedly many hardware shops.

GuangHua market near the ZhongXiao XinSheng MRT has lot’s of computer and some electronic hardware shops, not real hardware stores!
