Hello all! I’m new to the forum. My name is Dennis, my friends call me Deez. I’m originally Texan, but have lived outside US borders for the past 7 years–South Korea, France, England, South America, India.
I’ve just received a 5 year visa to Taiwan, alloted in 90 day increments and it’s extendable. My intention is to come and settle in Taiwan for a couple of years. I have lived and worked in Korea for 2.5 years, and I know it’s not exactly the same, but I do trust that my experience does prepare me to teach in Taiwan, a good foundation if you will.
I am interested in working a summer camp or sub job in July and August. I want to get a feel for things before I commit to a long-term contract so I figure a 1-2 month gig would be a good warm up. Does anyone know of anything that might be helpful?
I have a 4 year English degree from UT @ Austin and no other qualification except my life experience. I am very good with languages. I speak English, Spanish, and French. And I intend to learn Mandarin as well.
Thanks
Be well
Deez
