I posted before, but I am still looking for anyone who might know where I can get LP and cassettes transferred to CD format. I know there must be someone in technology-rich Taiwan that can do this. I have several really old Taiwanese LPs I want to get transferred.
Thanks,
Marc
Not sure what the law is here , in the Uk it is perfectly legal to copy material that you have already purchased. As such I have no qualms about downloading material that I have in storage in Vietnam and do not consider it to be piracy. Would this approach work for you?
Presuming you have a mixer or something else that has RCA outputs you could buy a Gemini iKey, and then you can record in wav or MP3 format. You need a USB stick. You plug this into the iKey when recording. You then take the USB stick and put the file(s) that have been recorded into your computer and burn to CD then. The iKey is easy to use. You can see this site for more info: haskellco.org/gemini/ikey.htm
you offer some good advice.
one possible solution to get rid of the need for a mixer, might be to get a plug that converts from the 3/8 inch to RCA, or in laymans terms headphone jack to red and white, stereo plugs.
