Lost Wallet- ARC, Driver's lic. and credit cards

Hi! My wallet was lost or stolen yesterday.

My wife managed to canel my credit cards but after spending three hours in our local police office and having to type out the report on thier own computers because they didn’t seem to know how to file a report, I’m in the dog house and on my own.

I have to get another:
ARC, Automobile Driver’s License, Motorcycle License

The ARC seems easy, but can someone post a sentence I can the DMV either in person, fax or e-mail to request a new license.

What documents would I need to show them. Do I have to wait for a new ARC to show them or could I use some other document. . Plus, I must continue driving anyway.

I know people drive with out licenses here in Taiwan, I probably will not be stopped but , if I am, would a copy of my police report buy me time? Thanks.

I think that the procedure at the local Dept. of Motor Vehicles should be fairly easy.

I doubt that you are the first person in Taiwan to have ever lost or misplaced his/her license(s) . . . . .

I am sure that they would have records of your old license(s) on file. So, you will need new photos, pay a fee, etc.

They will undoubtedly also want to see your ARC, so you better get that replaced first . . . . .
