Love hurts …. the beginning and the end

yes a toyota mechanic famous on youtube said you can have reliable cars or exciting cars, you can’t have reliable exciting cars.

oh wait thats a diff subject. Actually fate has a hand in this whole shebang too ya know?
Its not what you ask for sometimes , life. Often life hands you a twist when you are planning for something else.

you often have to play with the cards you got.

And of course reality is opposites attract but similarities attach !

Of course your best bet for a mate is a person exactly as you, a virtual twin .
But then you have a conumdrum

Who is a luckier man, one who has reached the highest heights and fallen to the greatest depths or one who has lived a life of a general satisfaction not having suffered extreme heat or cold but having been sheltered and protected. Who is remembered in history?

In fact, a lot of us have not chosen the path we are on, rather the path has chosen us. One can not live if one has not lived yeah?

The trick is to be able to forgive yourself and forgive others perhaps should you have wronged others and others have wronged you.

For me I am still looking for my virtual twin (of the opposite sex of course).

Yes, love hurts, especially in the beginning and especially if you’re a girl. The first time can literally be quite painful, depending on the size.

honestly i am just bumbling through life best i can aware of nothing and oblivious to everything but I am generally happy each and every day , generally…

sometimes happiness is blissful unawareness?/

If you read the news, the sun has sent out huge amounts of energy which has or is going to change earths molten core around and crack all the mantle pieces and rearrange earths furniture and santorini is hiding a hecka large volcano on the par with yellerstone , another hecka large volcano ready to blow the shizzle up bIG TIME, and a large comet is due to hit somewhere near japan and sink a third of the place and the waves gonna make calif fall off the american continent and the somewhere near the canary islands is a big ol shelf or something due to unleash a hecka large wave that is going to sink manhattan.

and …and… i had a great time riding my bike through the GG park today , except while on sunset blvd had a lady with a dog berate me saying the footpath was only for people (and dogs) on feet, and a bike was a vehicle and should be on the street (where you are in danger of getting hit by cars). So i will google that one.

and…a reason a lot of arranged marriages actually work out because families on both sides of the couple went to a lot of trouble to arrange those marriages between like minded families decades ago and all that support is going to make dang sure those people stay married and make children.
Passion and lust be damned, just find someone of the same social class, status, and your two families are of the same calibre and religion and upbringing. Let not you be different. What is this thing called LOVE? PAh , bah humbug, Thats all hollywood !

Well said, but a lot of luck and timing are involved I think. It’s easy to meet someone, but a lot harder to meet a person with the similar values, and also quite tricky to find out. Youvcan also meet someone that’s would be a perfect match, but the timing just doesn’t work out.

People also change, so it will take compromises to make the relationship last.

First BJ? High school, Grade 11 from a girl from a grade 10 class who had a crush on me. In school… behind the PE hall.

Brisbane local pool, tight budgie smugglers, a wandering hand, and a girl who didn’t bother with small talk. She followed me home, and we skipped the formalities.

An old high school classmate helped me renew my Aussie passport before a trip to visit my family in NZ. Thought it was just a signature until she started signing herself all over me…

University? A Vietnamese classmate 2 years my senior but visibly 10 years younger… awakened a yellow fever I didn’t know I had. Then came a Taiwanese girl, I put a ring on that one, but she didn’t stay.

Taiwan? Tinder was a buffet. Swipe right, match, message, meet. Some lasted a night, some a weekend, but none long enough to remember their names.

And then… my wife. Three years together. Settled. The whirlwind stopped. The games ended.

Sometimes, it’s just chemistry, impulse, or a moment you’ll never rewind. Some stories fade, some leave a mark, and some? You don’t even regret.

Take one of the streets parallel to it, almost no traffic.

It still amazes me that I randomly found an atypical person that sort of matches and yet I guess it’s not that hard.

“Let me tell you a little story behind the song “Ten Years Gone” on our new album. I was working my ass off before joining Zeppelin. A lady I really dearly loved said, “Right. It’s me or your fans.” Not that I had fans, but I said, “I can’t stop, I’ve got to keep going.” She’s quite content these days, I imagine. She’s got a washing machine that works by itself and a little sports car. We wouldn’t have anything to say anymore. I could probably relate to her, but she couldn’t relate to me. I’d be smiling too much. Ten years gone, I’m afraid. Anyway, there’s a gamble for you.” ~ Robert Plant

Yes an unlikely pairing for tonight’s dinner Trader Joe’s chicken dumplings in soba sauce

With Trader Joe’s lobster bisque as a chaser

Who thunk that combo?

Disgusting I know

But tasty just shouldn’t be a pairing probably

Much like many of todays married couples

Still wash the whole thing down with a German lager then

Yeah, people change. That’s why I really like what Barney said in HIMYM’s finale, that his marriage with Robin wasn’t a failed marriage, it was a very successful marriage that only lasted 3 years. Whether Barney truly believed it is up for debate, but I think it’s probably a healthy way to look at a relationship that stopped working when people and situations have changed.

My first kiss with a girl was in Brisbane in Grade 5 in the 1980s. We lived in Algester. Good times.

I also loved the Gold Coast and the nudity on the beaches. What a great time to watch tit and ass. Mermaid Beach had a lot of peach!

Used to get that when you walk through any random park in Germany. I tried my best to look away.

Public nudity was an expression of freedom which may be gone now that everyone has a camera and you can end up on social media

That’s not freedom anymore

Public nudity was not meant to be saved images for all to see and record it was for those who happened to be there too

It was an expression of freedom that’s been taken away for many

Turns out the woman was wrong those dirt paths on sunset blvd are dual use

Of course one should be respectful and only ride at walking pace as I was and give way to pedestrians as I did

If you are riding fast or on an electric bike you should be on the road

Maybe the woman was mad her dog got scared (heck I was scared of the dog) and thought an old fart like me has GOT to be on an electric bike

Maybe I should get an electric bike and ride on the road

The raised path on the great highway is also dual use and a lot of bikes and people are on it too and sometimes bikes get challenged

Problem there is if you ride on the parallel side street you don’t get to see the ocean but if you ride on the actual great highway the cars are moving at such great speed and only a few feet from you

If you get hit it’s all over you will be dead
Not a risk I want to take

Therefore I like it on Sundays when the road is closed to traffic and now it will soon be closed permanently to vehicle traffic

And the trails in the park itself are triple use
Open to foot traffic and bikes and horses !! Yes horses! In the park there are some stables where a select few keep a horse

Maybe over a hundred years ago when the park first opened there were more horses?

Now rarely seen

Many electric bikes are capable of over 30mph

And really shouldn’t be used on trails there are
Laws coming banning those

Only the ones with light assist is going to be allowed

I am thinking of getting one of those to help me on the many hills in the city

But right now I walk those and I think walking is good too

So you ride and walk for a better overall workout
