Context: Man is out of town. I told him he needed to come back cuz I am getting lonely. He says “Love is touching, touching is love.”
I have NO CLUE what it means.

Maybe he meant “Reach out and touch someone”…the old AT&T jingle. As in he’ll be getting in touch with you from a long distance via telephone…
Or maybe I’m reading too much into it.
That reminds me of the old joke…

Means he’s screwig with your mind, making Tang poems in English. Move on… 
Naw. He learned English from music. He used to speak almost completely in beetles songs. But now his english is muh better and he doesn’t. I can’t believe I didn’t notice that it was one.
Maybe he was listening to the song “Loving, Touching, Squeezing” by journey when you talked to him.
Perhaps you could have retorted with a line from the CSNY classic: “If you can’t be with the one you love, then love the one you’re with.”
I don’t think the line he said was from a Beatles song, though; maybe he wrote it himself.
