Malls

For those of you that need to do christmas shopping, there are 6 malls in Taipei Main Station. 1) Taipei New World Mall 2) Taipei city mall 3) Zhongshan mall 4) Easy Mall 5)Some other weird mall 6)Station front mall. The New world mall, as its name suggets, is new. There is also Kmall outside for computer, camera, and cell phone stuff.

Ugh, those places (at least the underground ones) literally make my skin crawl everytime I have to go through them. Taiwanese at their low-class, grubby, mouth-breathing, trash-talking, betelnut chewing, polyester-wearing, take-the-kids-to-a-discount-mall-instead-of-to-a-park-or-someplace-worthwhile worst.

hm, i never had a problem. most of the times i have gone there the malls are pretty empty too.

The babe-watching is better at Idee, Mitsokushi, Sogo, Breeze, Core Pacific and 101.

I thought the street dancers where pretty neat in the new underground mall, although they might need some more practice. Unfortunately, no dancing babes there.

That’s why you never had a problem.

i like the taipei city mall, the one under the road behind the station. lots of interesting stuff you won’t see in a regular mall/department store. many of the vendors here are from the old zhonghua market and it is something like a modernized version of that.
