Its strange, the simple things you miss.
I rarely eat Western food here in Taiwan but I was surprised that most pubs or restaurants never supply Malt Vinegar with chips ( fries to you Americans)
WHY NOT ?
Chips just don’t taste the same!
I even brought a bottle back form a visit to The UK.
If anybody is interested they now sell it next door to Patina in The Zone aswell as other western food that is hard to find even in Tesco et.al.

We have had malt vinegar for ages. I agree that it is great with chips!. Incidentally, have you tried our fries?? They are the thick cut style…very yummy!

WestBromMon: We have malt vinegar in abundance. We don’t have red & white checked tableclothes nor a tall, very hot glass display cabinet though.
