If there is one issue that unites all Americans, left or right, it is this. We have minimum age requirements for all political offices; perhaps a maximum age limit is in order as well. With the one-two punch of Biden & Trump - two mentally and physically declining men of around 80 - itās high time we made some changes.

74-81% of Americans agree according to these two polls, and I doubt many other polls will differ much statistically.

Trump is still a machine at his age. You can disagree with him and hate him, but comparing him to what we saw with Biden is nonsense.
The guy is out there every day doing interviews, meetings with leaders, flying around. Hes not hiding like Biden.
Is he declining physically so much that people are complain about his frequent golfing? Which is it?
I donāt think we should do age restrictions but instead term limits for congress. Plenty of older people are sharper and even more fit than these kids Iām seeing on their phones all day.
Heās a tweeting machine. He can holler, for a while, but even thatās slowed considerably. He clearly doesnāt talk and think as well as he used to.
The problem is the nonsense coming out of his mouth.
Thatās apparently the only exercise he gets, and he rolls in a cart, and even then, you can see his drives are like a half swing now.
I donāt think we should do either; if we were to do one, Iād go for age over term limits.

Even with the cart itās pretty physically demanding. If I havenāt golfed in ages and I go out there the next day Iām pretty sore. And Iām pretty physically fit compared to the average person.
Itās a low impact sport for an older person for sure but Iām guessing a small percentage of men at his age can consistently play golf even with the cart.

I am against it. Unless, they have mandatory ages for everyone. Or say like Taiwan mandatory maximum age limit for driving. So I didnāt vote as it depends
Otherwise, should be smart enough to do it on a case by case basis. I am fully all for a real test for them to qualify for public office. Not just mental stability, but ethics, geo politics, literacy, and basic STEM. They have tests for citizenship, easily less important than presidential and policy construction.
You might think heās fine, but to think heās not slowing down and as with it as he used to be? Cāmon. Is ANYONE not slowing down when theyāre pushing 80?

I get it. Heās not 25. Iām sure heās slowed down with age. But honestly seems like itās not a major problem like it was with Biden. Thatās what weāre addressing isnāt it?

Not like Biden today, hasnāt progressed as much. I think a big issue is trump shits on how biden slurred words before, how bad he was before. Even decades ago. If he wants to be that much of a cnt, it is fair game to say that trump has shown clear signs of cognitive issues and decline since his first term, nevermind now. Evennif was also a cnt before, now he is clearly blanking and forgetting. If the argument is he used to as well, he should have never been allowed to run (like Biden the 2nd time).
Canāt really complain if Trumps opponents call him out on it given how harsh and disrespectful he has been to everyone else. Including his own people. He has made himself an open target, making even the nicest of people hard to feel pity for him anymore. A grumpy old man that no caregiver wants to be assigned to.
He is the president. He should be held more accountable. As should have Biden. Two wrongs donāt make a right, neither are competent enough to run a nation in 2025, doesnāt matter if Bidens issues have progressed further. I wouldnāt trust them with being on a committee for a town in the mountains, nevermind a president. Scary times. Lots of historical examples of when āleadersā of nations/armies etc are crazy and how well that works out for people.
