Masurca Fogo, by Pina Bausch

This piece was created for the 1998 World Expo in Lisbon, and some already had a glimpse of it in Almodovar’s Talk to Her. Like many of her dances, Masurca Fogo is composed of seemingly unrelated episodes. The dancers engage in absurd actions or talk Chinese to the audience, accompanied by the cheerful and humorous choreography through which the feelings buried deep down in our mind are fleshed out.
