You can have your matcha served in this terrifying thing.
I used to hate it and was confused by matcha-flavored things. I have now embraced it. I like the matcha kit kats especially.

It probably does take a little getting used to if you didn’t grow up with it. I imagine most westerners’ idea of “green” flavor is pistachio or mint.

I like the matcha lattes! Warm or cold, love em both.
I like Matcha donuts. I like Mr Donut Matcha donuts. There I said it.
I always buy Matcha when I visit Japan…the real stuff unsweetened…but it’s for the wife…I don’t drink it just eat it. 
I even looked into how Matcha has it’s unique color. It’s because they add nitrogen fertilizer. The best Matcha tea is still grown in Japan, never got a real one grown in Taiwan. Green tea is not Matcha tea.
Also the Japanese have some really cool tech how they powder it, the Matcha in Taiwan is rougher.
Like, by the spoonful? I picture it like the cinnamon challenge.
I drink it every now and then because it’s “supposed to be good for you.” Anything matcha flavored is just sweet crap. I really like the color though.

you can say that for most tea things here though.
This is why I prefer Orange Pekoe.

Matcha: good
Beer: even better
Matcha-flavored beer: not my cup of tea (nor my glass of beer either)

I actually just recently bought a few skeins of yarn that are matcha green. It’s a lovely color. Soon I’ll be wearing it in sweater form.
Well, maybe not soon…knitting takes a lot of time.
