McDonald's Menu Variations

Put in present parlance, that would be “FOMO” (Fear Of Missing Out).

No, it’s the mental condition of inflation: “buy now as it will be more expensive tomorrow.”
People waiting in line to buy the McGriddle are following the “I don’t want to be left out” meme; his wife is saying “buy Mcdonald’s today because the price will go up tomorrow.”

Personally I blame Joe Biden. Or maybe Justin Trudeau.

We cannot overlook the critical role that Jacinda Ardern also played. :grandpa:

That’s a useful ACRONYM. I’m not trained in business but I’m improving a little.

Yeah so like the street traders will say buy these oranges now, last chance only a few left. While actually they have lots , right? I guess that’s called creating a demand where there isn’t one. It’s like modern day witchcraft ha

They stopped selling the Quarter Pounder in Taiwan a long time ago.

They’ve still go it. They call it the 4 ounce beef burger. 四盎司牛肉堡

I find it funny that the McD dessert menu includes burgers :person_shrugging:t2:

I’m always curious what kinds of supply decisions go on behind things like this. They seem to have run out so quickly: I’m almost suspicious there was a container of McGriddle ingredients that accidentally wound up here, and they decided “Eh, what the hell, let’s sell them rather than send it to the right destination.”

Well, businesses have a responsibility to profit from stuff.

My question is why can’t they just offer it permanently if people just go crazy over it?

I tried the mala McNuggets this morning in a rash moment of post-night-out bad decision-making.

Overall, I would say they weren’t too bad for anyone who considers McNuggets an edible food item. They had all the unpleasant cardboard flavor of regular McNuggets plus some mala, so pretty much what I was expecting.

It took approximately 23 minutes after biting into the first McNugget for the nausea and regret to set in, which is on par with regular McNuggets.

It cost NT$48 for eight (2x4 pieces), using the buy one get one free offer in the McDonald’s app, which I feel ashamed to still have on my phone since the last time I used it a year ago. The experience wasn’t worth NT$48, and I can’t imagine a situation where I’d be inclined to eat these again, even if they were free. I would probably have to be paid.

4 posts were split to a new topic: From McDonalds

McGriddles are coming back, starting April 23rd.

Again it’s a limited run, but 3x the quantity this time

I have mixed feelings. Those things are tasty. But those things are also dangerous. They are like Schrodinger’s pancakes. We may never know the truth.

That should be enough to make a decision.

Sigh. Ten months since I bought anything from McDonald’s. That streak may end next week - depending on the line when I walk by.

McGriddles are a bit too sweet for me. The first bite is great but by the end I feel sick. McMuffins will always be where it’s at.
