My name is Francesco im half italian and half portuguese.I want to apply for MCU university(journalism and comunication) but there s some stuff that bother me.
I will finish highschool nearly in the end of june and the deadline is 31 of may.How can i applay for the first year?i would hate to lost one year cause i already travelled for one year in mainland China.
And anyway could someone please help me to understand what should i do to apply??is it easy to get accepted by the university?

Hey, I’m Carla and I think I can help you applying, since I was pretty much in the same situation as you some months ago (but already got accepted in Tamkang University).
Well, the nice thing is that you can apply online, if you are not currently in Taiwan. In that case, you need to create an account in their page apply.mcu.edu.tw/EAF_Main.aspx (and start filling the stuff they ask u to, AND upload the necessary documents)
Health exam
A financial statement (Some prove that you have enough money in your bank account to pay for school, I guess.)
A photocopy of the highest education diploma or equivalent academic attainment .
authenticated by the Taiwan’s overseas representative office or presented by the former
school
Photocopy of your official transcript of this highest level school (how much you had in 10th, 11th, 12th grades)
Don’t forget to wright your Autobiography and your Study Plan (I can send you the one I did for my application for reference, if u want).
You nedd to pay the application fee of 1500 NT Dolars.
1 or 2 recommendation letters
If you have it, you should send a certificate of your level of english (TOEIC or TOEFL)
Photocopy of your passport
Two recent passport-size bust photo.
If you are in Taiwan, and if you are planning to apply in person, you should download the forms in this link www1.mcu.edu.tw/Apps/SB/SB_Site.aspx?PageID=33
And hand them in the school with the rest of the documents i already told you.

Hello everybody,
My name is Andreas and i am also trying to apply at MCU IC but for Tourism & Travel (which is an undergraduate program). My main problems are that i don’t know how a “study plan” like they require should look like. Has any of you ever written one? the second problem i have like francesco said, the High School diploma is delivered to us in june. Although i asked in my last trip about it and some secretary said i should just tell i will deliver it later, i dont really trust that and would like to know more seriously if i can or not do this. I tried to email the MCU IEE 3 times already and they didnt reply yet, so i turn to this forum.

Well, in the study plan you should basically tell WHY are you willing to do Tourism and Travel, WHAT you plan to do after finishing it, why you chose MCU (don’t need to flatter the school too much!)… You should also explain a little bit of your academic process, mentioning that you will finish high school in June. Send your highest grade certificate, the last 3 grades transcript, and your last term grades, I THINK :s Don’t worry because MCU is not that strict! A LOT of people get accepted. And plus, after you get accepted you still have to hand them your diploma! I’ll try to know more and then tell you, just in case. Where can I send you the study plans I have?

Thanks for the fast reply and the effort of sending and checking i really owe you something haha. Somebody should really put those people at the IEE to work, because the online application server is down since april and they dont reply any emails (my first email was the 24th april)
