Sorry, really wasn’t sure about where to put this. Events, maybe?
Anyway, just found online that the Geminids Meteor Shower will be taking place December 13-14, with the peak times happening December 14 at 16:45 gmt. Converted, this is 12:45 am on Friday night. Says in the article it may be the best meteor shower of the year. Here’s the link:
Cool, thanks for the heads up! One of these days I’ll manage to drag my better third out to see one of these.
So you usually go out without your lower legs?

Silly me! I thought he was talking about his knob, until I remembered that he’s not me or Irishstu.

He said “better third”, not “better two thirds”.

Speak for yourself. I’ve been doing reduction exercises on account of the stretchmarks I’ve been getting.
Meteor showers are always over-hyped. They talk about them like it’s going to be Star Trek going warp drive, but it’s not. It doesn’t even qualify as a sprinkle. It’s pretty boring.
It really depends where you are, of course. Like, if you’re standing on one of the meteors, it’s pretty exciting.
Or right where one hits the ground. That would be pretty exciting too. Especially if some kind of alien emerged and took over the earth. Then it would be REALLY REALLY exciting.

That’s why you are always popping off to massage special cream into it. I thought you were just pleasuring yourself.
Just getting out of this light-polluted town to get a glimpse of more than, say, TWO stars would be nice. I miss seeing the Milky Way. I suggested biking up Wu2zhi3shan1 in Xizhi this Friday, but me missus says it’s overrun by gangsters at night. Does anyone know if that’s true? And where else would you recommend going? (Anywhere easily accessible by scooter from Donghu?)
What, like astronomy buff gangsters? Moth-spotting tough guys? What the hell do gangsters overrun Wuzhishan at night for?
I guess she means it’s a popular place for scooter punks to hang out, and she wouldn’t feel safe there at night.
These guys sell insurance. It would be a shame if one of those meteors hit you.
It’s supposed to rain tomorrow anyway.
Yes, that’s why they call it a meteor shower.
Be sure to take your meteor umbrella.
Can I just put tin foil on my 99nt one?

As long as it’s not too windy.
You know what my father did once? They were predicting a meteor shower, so he told us to put some pans with water in them up on the roof to catch some meteors. And then at night he went out and threw rocks in them.
That explains a lot.
